Health Social Sciences International Program

Entry Requirements

The diversity of expertise and variety of research projects of the academic staff, coupled with the high standards of Mahidol University, has created the Ph.D. and Master's Program in Health Social Science that focuses on the attainment of a student's academic aspirations. The Academic Staff of the International Programs expect students to possess the following qualities: 

- Analytical Skills
- Perseverance
- A deep interest in health and its impacts on different segments of society 

Entry requirements for the programs are:

- Ph.D. applicants are expected to possess minimally a Master's degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited university.
- Master's applicants are expected to possess minimally a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited university.
- TOEFL score at least 500, TOELF computer-base score of 173, TOELF internet-base score of 61, or IELTS score of 5.0.
- The test date must be within previous 2 years before application date . 

The programs offer two routes of study:

- Plan 1 : Dissertation Only (48 Credits)
- Plan 2 : Courses and Dissertation 
- 2 A (54 Credits) 2 B (72 Credits)
- The route of study is determined by the academic credentials that a student possesses at the time of application.

All doctoral degree students must achieve the required score before taking a Qualifying Examination that must be taken during the study period in the doctoral program.
